It Started On A Drive.
August 7, 2026
Like a lot of ideas, Block Heads didn't begin with a business plan.
It began driving down the road with Falkor.
I had been trying to figure out what came next. Life had changed in ways I hadn't necessarily planned for, and I was trying to find my footing again—personally, creatively and financially.
And somewhere on that drive, an idea struck me.
What if I built a lifestyle brand with Falkor at the heart of it?
Not just another apparel brand. Something built around inner strength. Something for people who have experienced life in some of its toughest forms, found themselves knocked down, and somehow kept moving forward.
I know something about that.
There have been times in my own life when I truly didn't know how I was going to make it through. Times when I didn't feel particularly strong or courageous. There were days when I didn't want to keep going at all.
But somehow, I did.
One step. Then another.
It wasn't until I made it through some of those seasons that I could look back and recognize what had been carrying me. It wasn't loud. It wasn't fearless. It wasn't the kind of strength that announces itself to the world.
It was something much quieter.
I started sitting with words that seemed to describe it.
Courage. Inner strength. Quiet confidence. Resilience.
And eventually, three more words became important:
Slow. Steady. Intentional.
I'm still working on all of them.
Especially resilience.
I'm not writing this from the other side of some perfectly finished story. I'm still pulling pieces of my life back together, one day at a time. And maybe that's part of what Block Heads is really about.
Strength doesn't always look like having everything together.
Sometimes strength is simply continuing.
And Then There's Falkor
Through all of this, one thing has remained constant: Falkor—my trusty steed.
He came into my life at exactly the right moment and has carried me through more than a year of change, struggle and uncertainty.
He's been beside me for the hard days, the quiet days and the days when I finally started believing there might be something new ahead.
And, as anyone who meets him quickly discovers, Falkor loves people.
People seem to love him right back.
So as I was floundering around trying to figure out how to begin putting life back together—and how to create something that could help me build a new future—I couldn't think of better inspiration.
Falkor represented so much of what I wanted this brand to feel like.
Strong without needing to prove it.
Calm.
Steady.
Grounded.
So I took that inspiration and went to work.
And Block Heads began.
This Is Only the Beginning
We're excited about this next chapter of our lives, but we're also excited about something bigger than shirts, hats or designs.
We're excited about the people we'll meet along the way.
Because I know my story isn't unique.
There are people everywhere quietly putting themselves back together. Starting again. Changing direction. Taking one more step when they're not entirely sure where it's leading.
Those are our people.
And if you're one of them, we'd love to hear your story.
Tell us what you've overcome. Tell us what you're still working through. Tell us what strength, resilience or quiet confidence has looked like in your own life.
You can share your story with us at shopblockheads@gmail.com.
Maybe, as Block Heads grows, this can become more than a brand.
Maybe it can become a community of people reminding one another that strength doesn't always have to be loud.
Sometimes, it just keeps going.
Slow. Steady. Intentional.
And we're just getting started.
